August 31, 2009 RATIFICATION OF THE 2009 CONTRACT
The TIU membership voted to ratify the contract. We want to thank everyone for voting. The vote count was 93 for ratification and 12 against ratifiction. We will be notifying the company on September 1, 2009, of the results. Within the next few days we will post, on the website, the date when we can expect our increase and payback to go into effect. We will also have a date when we will receive the $1500 for the settlement of the 2008 Team Award grievance.
The rise will go into effect on the October 2, 2009 paycheck. This check will include the retro pay as of July 19, 2009. The $1500, in lieu of the team award will most likely be paid out on the October 30, 2009 paycheck.
